Playcentre Aotearoa is a well-known and loved early childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children’s learning through play. Playcentre operates over 400 Playcentres throughout the country.
Wilton Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join our vibrant Playcentre community. You will work alongside members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning through child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning, and promote the Playcentre education programme. You will be a leader who encourages others to thrive; modelling Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to participate actively.

Days & hours:
Mondays 8.45am–10pm, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8.45am–1.30pm. No breaks included. This is a permanent position during term time only. We are interested in hearing from you if you are available for some or all of these days.

The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher
or
an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Knowledge of
Te Whāriki
and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
A passion for Playcentre and its philosophy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.
A passion for empowering and engaging whānau to foster a sense of belonging during sessions.
Knowledge of ECE regulations.
Ability to use technology effectively.
