The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying paint to a variety of vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets company and customer standards. This role requires a strong understanding of different painting materials, techniques, systems, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces as needed. Mix and match paint to achieve the desired colour and texture. Operate spray guns and other painting equipment efficiently and safely. Apply primer, paint, and clear coats evenly to vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish. Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform touch-ups or corrections as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations. Keep inventory of paint supplies and equipment; notify management of any shortages or necessary repairs. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and equipment. Manage efficient and effective workflow in the workshop. Qualifications: Proven experience as an automotive spray painter or in a similar role. Knowledge of automotive paint products and application techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to painting operations. Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in automotive painting or a related field.
