We seek a committed and enthusiastic fully registered teacher to work within our ‘Steiner Inspired’ school. Pākaraka school is a small school situated a short drive from Kerikeri town centre in a rural setting close to the beautiful Bay of Islands.
The successful applicant will be collaborative, creative, flexible, interested in new ideas, and able to take initiative. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is dedicated to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and willing and able to fully embrace Te Ao Māori.
Alongside experience teaching core subjects such as literacy and numeracy, knowledge and experience in teaching music, Te reo Māori, and handwork is advantageous. They will have a commitment to Steiner pedagogy, the ability to work with composite classes, and flexibility that suits a smaller school.
Mentoring in Steiner-Waldorf education is available to the successful applicant.
A school house is available if accommodation is required.
