Medical Device Sales Representative – South Island, NZ b

We’re looking for a sales professional to join our Joint Replacement team, looking after the South Island. This role is based in Dunedin.
It’s a role with a lot of autonomy — you’ll be out on the road most of the time, working independently, managing your own territory and building strong relationships with hospital teams and surgeons. If you're someone who’s naturally self-motivated, enjoys a bit of freedom in your day, and takes pride in doing things well, you’ll feel right at home.
You don’t need to come from the medical world. What matters most is your mindset — you’re driven, accountable, and experienced in sales. You know how to plan, how to execute, and how to get results.
What we’re looking for:
Proven sales experience
– you’ve consistently met or exceeded targets and can talk through how you approach your work
Strategic thinking
– you enjoy setting a game plan and following through
Clear communicator
– you can work with internal and external stakeholders to get things done
Comfortable working solo
– you’ll spend most of your time out in the field, so this suits someone who’s independent and resourceful
Ownership mindset
– you’ll be supported, but you’ll also be responsible for results in your patch
Prepared and curious
– we take hiring seriously, so you’ll need to have done your homework on the role and Stryker before applying
What you’ll be doing:
Managing and growing your territory like it’s your own business
Supporting surgeons in operating theatres – after full training
Building strong relationships with hospital teams
Staying across your stock and product needs
Working closely with your manager and teammates (even if they’re not always close by)
