What You Will Do
As a Test Engineer, you are a key part of our global engineering team. You will work closely with development teams, across multiple time zones, in the testing and performance of our products, which include but are not limited to steering, GNSS, water management, implement control systems, web, and mobile applications.
Success in this position will require you to be creative, self-motivated, highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be advocating on the customers' behalf on general usability and ease of use, and provide feedback to engineering and marketing teams. You will also work closely with product owners and engineers to define product testing requirements and specifications.
This will have you doing the following:
Work side by side with the software development team on integration and testing of new feature development
Generate bug reports, using Jira software, with detailed information and supporting diagnostics information, including helping diagnose root causes
Execute standard regression tests, along with exploratory testing of complex systems composed of real-time controls
Create and modify Jira zephyr test cases and plans
Be a testing lead for an assigned Agile team. Perform testing tasks for that team or help coordinate with other test team members as needed.
Perform on-vehicle testing in the office parking lot or dedicated off-site field testing sites.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree in ME, CE, EE or other relevant engineering field
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) and a willingness to work with people on changing requirements to deliver a quality product to the customer
Problem-solving and time management skills with motivation and ability to work autonomously
Ability to use electronic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators
Ability to analyze a complex system and use critical thinking skills to understand the risks of making certain changes and derive an appropriate test plan.
Other / Preferred Requirements
Understanding of communications buses such as CAN Bus, Serial, and Ethernet
Experience with Flow and Application Control testing (i.e. Field IQ, ISOBUS, Serial Rate)
Precision Agriculture experience including, but not limited to, installation and troubleshooting
Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo, and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.)
Experience driving tractors and/or heavy machinery
Demonstrated experience in an engineering test, product development, or other relevant field
Master's degree in ME, CE, EE, or other relevant engineering field.
