About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, highly motivated, and professional individual to join our Te Aho Ngaiotanga | Professional Learning team.

The Kaihuawaere Kaupapa Maori role is an integral part of our Ngaiotanga team working with organisations, Kahui Ako, kura, schools, early years services, leaders and communities to scope, implement and evaluate professional learning support.

As Kaihuawaere, you will be responsive to communities and clients' strengths, needs and goals, and will use Tatai Aho Rau products, models and frameworks to support your work with them.

You will be hands-on, have the ability to travel, be well-organised, dynamic and energetic with a high level of proficiency in written and oral communications in te reo Maori and English.

You will be a life-long learner, with a commitment to ongoing professional and personal development including in matauranga Maori.

Some key areas of responsibility will include: Scoping and facilitating kaupapa Maori related professional learning across Maori medium, English medium and non-education sector learning communities.

Facilitating learning onsite, remotely and asynchronously.

Delivering Tatai Aho Rau Core products and services through external contracts including Regionally Allocated PLD.

Demonstrating commitment to upholding Te Tiriti of Waitangi and mana orite mo te matauranga Maori.

Skills and Experience: Proven experience in facilitating professional learning to adult learners Experience delivering effective learning programmes through curriculum frameworks including Tirewa Marautanga, Te Aho Matua and/or NZC, Te Mataiaho A relevant university degree or equivalent tertiary qualification Credibility within the education sector or wider kaupapa Maori related learning communities.

Agility, with the ability to work flexibly when required juggling multiple deadlines.

Competence in oral and written Maori as well as English.

Proven experience in all/some of the following: Marau a-kura / Local curriculum design Strength in at least one wahanga ako | curriculum learning area Building cultural capability including Tiriti o Waitangi focused learning Effective pedagogies in teaching of and through te reo Maori For the Role Description and Application Form please click on the links provided
