Vacancy No: HAU02010 Position: Occupational Therapist for a Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapy Role, Child Development Service Contract: Permanent, Full time (1 FTE) – 1 position available Salary: Allied, Public Health & Technical SECA, Allied, Public Health & Technical Pay Scale ($59,035 - $83,030)Location: Gisborne Hospital, Child Development Service Are you interested in working with children with developmental challenges and their whānau in a community focussed service using an equitable and transdisciplinary model of practice?Applicants must be a NZ registered Occupational Therapist with: ·A current practising certificate·A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a sensitivity to different cultures·A current, clean drivers’ license·A ‘whatever it takes’ approach We are seeking therapists with a knowledge of a range of disabilities, assessment tools and therapies appropriate for children.
However, if you don’t and are keen to develop paediatric skills and learn how to work in a transdisciplinary model with whānau we can offer you a unique opportunity to participate in comprehensive education and on the job training.

With consent the local workforce of health, education and community support agencies share information, work flexibly and collectively to reduce barriers and provide the support that the whānau needs and requests.
