About the Role This is more than just a coordination job—it’s about education, empowerment, and connection. You'll meet families in their homes, help them improve their living conditions, and connect them with the support they need. You’ll: Build trusting relationships with families and whānau Complete housing assessments and co-design action plans Educate families on how to manage their whare for better health outcomes Connect them with practical support: insulation, curtains, beds, heating, ventilation, and more Liaise with agencies like Work and Income, landlords, and health providers Track progress and report on outcomes What You Bring: You’re empathetic, practical, and love working with people. You're a natural communicator who connects easily with whānau from all walks of life. You’ll bring: Experience in community housing, health, or social services An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to cultural safety Strong communication and organisational skills Requirements: Full, clean NZ driver’s license Clean criminal record Legally able to work in New Zealand Available to travel around Tauranga, Te Puke & Whakatāne 2–3 days a week Comfortable working in-home with diverse families Why Join Us?Work across Tauranga, Te Puke, and Whakatāne – with a mix of home visits and office days Be part of a small, supportive, and fun team of 13 Receive full training in best practice housing interventions Make a lasting impact on child health and family wellbeing Apply now and be the difference in someone’s home and health.
