About The Role

New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) is looking for a trade-qualified Electrical Tradesperson to join our Carbon maintenance team. The successful candidate will join our Planned Maintenance crew, which works a 9-day roster from Monday to Friday.
Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to ensure every team member has the quality tools needed to do their job.
Reporting to our Crew Leaders and Superintendents, you’ll join our close-knit, proud, and hardworking teams following a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs. Your responsibilities include identifying and conducting planned and unplanned repair and diagnostic work within production time constraints on a wide variety of equipment.
Your unwavering commitment to safety will see you promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes, and behaviours. You will have the opportunity to utilise your strong problem-solving skills to add value through identifying and implementing improvement initiatives and applying robust defect elimination practices.
