Warehouse SupervisorFull-timeJob DescriptionThis position is based at our Avondale site.The primary purpose of this role is to effectively manage:Leadership of VIP Steel warehousing, inwards and outwards goods operations.Managing distribution of products to customers.Managing inter-site movements.Team leadership & process development.Cost control and operational effectiveness.Key relationship management.Quarterly stocktakes and regular warehouse cycle counts.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESPlanning – Ensure appropriate planning is carried out for staffing requirements, carriers, storage and vendors stock.Stock management – Ensure set stock levels are always maintained, work with Planning Manager to identify slow moving stock and manage using FIFO method.Staff Management – Effectively manage the Warehouse team to ensure they are capable in their tasks. Mentor, coach and develop a multiskilled cross functional team.Accurate & timely processing of paperwork.Accurate & timely receipting of goods to the warehouse.Accurate & timely checking and, putting away of inwards goods.Accurate & timely dispatch of product to customers.Execution and control of stock takes.Prompt and clear communication to external and internal customers.Work areas and yard are kept in clean and tidy condition.Adherence to procedures and processes within the Warehouse area.Adherence to VIP Steel's Quality Management Systems.Adherence to VIP Steel's Health, Safety, Hygiene & Environmental Policies.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESStrong communication skills, incl. written and oral.Demonstrated commitment to process improvement.Strong staff management, coaching / mentoring skills.Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and taking into account varying needs.Attention to detail.Strong organisational skills.Flexibility and adaptability.Ability to communicate with staff and suppliers at all levels.Strong relationship building skills.Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliersAdditional InformationAbout usOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
