The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and service-focused Workshop Foreman to join our Auckland workshop team, reporting to the Auckland Group Service Manager. This is a rare, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the workshop floor, leading from the front, and supporting technicians to perform at their best.
In this role, you will assist in leading and supervising the workshop team, ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will play a key role in maximising customer satisfaction and retention by promoting best-practice processes, meeting service deadlines, and maintaining high workmanship standards.
Developing and mentoring technicians will be central to your success. Your industry experience, leadership capability, and commitment to quality will help drive strong performance across the workshop.
What You’ll Need to Succeed: A genuine interest in the road transport industry
A positive, motivating leadership style with the ability to get the best from your team
Proven organisational and time-management skills
Preform well under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow and enforce written and verbal instructions
Minimum of 3 years’ experience successfully leading and developing a team
Trade Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering (Road Transport)
Class 5 driver’s licence (Minimum Class 4 )
